Joy Ng Kaijie
Joy is an artist of the new age. Unafraid of genre-bending and blurring boundaries, they believe in seamlessness between the mood of a song and its architecture, all while tirelessly working towards shaping a sound true to themselves.
As a creative musician who independently produces, writes, records and mixes their music, Joy’s music surges forth with a powerful depth of emotions, something birthed out of acute emotional sensitivity. Passionate about learning and teaching, Joy hopes to build a name for themselves and contribute to the industry with the goal to “be the change you want to see” in mind.
Work
Joy started in the music industry as a guitarist for top acts Sam Rui, Joie Tan and RRILEY from 2016 to 2018, performing for them on stages like SHINE Festival (2016) and Music Matters Live Festival (2019).
Prior to his Spotify releases, Joy’s portfolio consisted of performances on radio stations Lush 99.5FM, 98.7FM and 91.3FM. Post-2019, Joy started to branch out into writing his own music and participated in the NOISE Music Mentorship. Since 2019 he has released a total of seven tracks, amassing close to 300,000 streams collectively, and is signed to Universal Music Pte Ltd as an artist.
