Muhammad Usaid As Syaffie Bin Abdul Rashid (Usaid)

Usaid grew up with an interest in recording and mixing which led him to pursue a Diploma in Audio Production at LASALLE College of the Arts.

Initially interested to learn more about studio production, Usaid's exposure to various aspects of live sound during his time at LASALLE gave him a newfound interest in live mixing, particularly for concerts and theatre shows. He aspires to be a successful audio engineer and hopes to work in the theatre industry, bringing shows to life for audiences to enjoy.

Work

During his time in LASALLE, Usaid has worked on theatre production Cool Shorts (2022) as the overall IC and QLab operator. He was also the monitor engineer for Live at the Octagon, a self-devised group project featuring several bands.

Outside of LASALLE, Usaid has worked as a QLab operator and audio engineer for the National Day Parade Heartlands Fireworks Show (2022). He has also served as the assistant audio engineer for the Hoh Rih Hwa Lecture 2022. Usaid has also been part of the audio crew for several concerts, including the F1 Singapore Grand Prix and Billie Eilish amongst others.
