Chelsea Goh

Diploma in Music
2020 — 2023

Chelsea loves to punch above her weight and she takes pride in continuously taking creative risks that help her grow as a musician. Chelsea enjoys dabbling in jazz, R&B, neo-soul, as well as pop punk.

During her time in LASALLE's Diploma in Music programme, she has been mentored by Alemay Fernandez, Christy Smith, Sara Wee and Babes Conde, developing a style characterised by beautiful contradictions which constantly subverts expectations.

Chelsea believes in connecting the body and mind through her music, and readily shares her expression of sound with those who seek to receive it. She subscribes to the adage, "Well-behaved women seldom make history.”

Work

During her time in LASALLE, Chelsea participated in the pre-Rock and Indie Festival industry showcase (2021), and Live at the Octagon (2021) for Emypral Records. She has also performed for the annual LASALLE Diploma in Music Showcase (2021).

Outside of school, Chelsea has been a part of notable events such as the Lion City Youth Jazz Festival (The Count and The Duke, 2021), Sultan Gate Music Festival (2019, 2020) and was featured as the voice of an item in The Royal Dance Off (TRDO). She was both performer and speaker at TEDx Singapore ('The Undiscovered Country'). Chelsea is currently a member of the Jazz Association Youth Orchestra.
