Magdalene is a classically-trained pianist and accompanist. She started her musical journey at the age of four, completing her ABRSM Grade 8 Piano (Distinction) in 2017. She is graduating with a Diploma in Music, specialising in classical piano at LASALLE College of the Arts under the tutelage of renowned pianist Clarence Lee Zheng Le.

Magdalene's performance philosophy is to understand the language of music and how it conveys emotions and unspoken words. She hopes to captivate audiences with her sound, tone and colour. After graduating from LASALLE, Magdalene hopes to further her studies and grow to be a professional piano teacher and concert pianist, reaching out to students to cultivate a love for music.

Work

Magdalene's notable performances includes LASALLE's orientation showcase performance (2021 & 2022), Piano Voyage VIII - A Night at the Opera (2021), where she performed two duet pieces, as well as LASALLE's Classical Cornucopia (2022), which was a showcase that celebrated of top performers from the semester's performance exams.

Outside of school, she has participated in festivals like the 5th Overseas Performers Festival (Silver Award) and the 8th Asia Arts Festival (Silver Award).
