Akid is a bassist who enjoys playing R&B, neo soul and funk. His passion for music manifests in his efficiency, reliability and adaptability. During his time in LASALLE, he delved deeper into his craft by working with people from diverse backgrounds and exploring more playing styles and genres. Akid worked on honing his versatility and improvisation skills under the guidance of his mentor Christy Smith. He aspires to be a session musician and educator.

Work

Akid has performed for various events such as the LASALLE pre-Rock and Indie Festival industry event (2021), VOMG x Somerset (2021) which showcased new young talents and Sim Lim Square Music Festival (2022).

He performed in the Level 3 music recital performances for Asha Nurdiana in 2021, and for Andrew Chin Choo Yingxin, Chelsea Goh, Daniela Lim, Dhanista Muralidaran, Glen Chau, Isabel Tan, Megan Yuen, Min Htut Arkar, Faisal Raqiib, Phyllis Soh and Qi Ziyue in 2022.
